The Power of Support in Times of Transition
When you’re going through a major life change, it’s easy to feel like you have to figure it all out alone. I’ve seen this time and again—especially with women in their second half of life. We’re used to being the ones offering support, so asking for it can feel uncomfortable or even selfish.
But here’s the truth: support isn’t a weakness. It’s a lifeline.
I’ve navigated plenty of transitions—some I chose, most I didn’t. In doing so, I realized I wasn’t great at handling big transitions, let alone the small ones. (Daylight savings time, anyone?) Life became my masterclass in navigating change—both my own and others’.
In my work as a chaplain and grief specialist, I’ve seen how transformative it is when we open ourselves to the help of others. Life’s transitions often call us to reach out. Whether it’s a conversation with a friend, seeking a coach, or simply allowing yourself to receive care, support can shift everything.
You don’t have to go through it alone. Let’s navigate this together.
Transitional Truth:
Asking for support isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of wisdom.
